I am a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I am also pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science. I am a research assistant at the University of Colorado Population Center, and I hold an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from New York University.
My research is in social demography and population health. I work on mortality and life expectancy in the United States and on migrant organizations and local politics in Turkey.
